# Art and Craft: At prestige Public School, Pune we conduct arts and craft activities for all our students’.Through this activity, children learn to value and appreciate artifacts and images across cultures and times. Experience in design, art, and crafts enable them to reflect critically on their own work and those by others. They learn to act and think like designers and artists, working intelligently and creatively. This activity helps them in several ways it Improves their coordination, helps express themselves, makes them more creative and productive, Inspires them to think critically, Helps them socialize.
# Sports: There are lots of positivity in encouraging sports in schools. The only thing is the schools need to build or improve the facilities of the sports utilities and the play area space. Having understood this fact Prestige Public School has created a suitable infrastructure within premises of over 5 acres own campus, dedicated Skating Track, Basket Ball, and facility for Cricket, Volley Ball, and much more. From time to time the maintenance and upkeep of infrastructure are taken care of. We encourage sports in our schools as it is also a part of education called “PHYSICAL EDUCATION”. Over a period of time, we have experienced that encouraging sports activities in schools has benefited in a number of ways, few among them are: It makes students very active physically as well as mentally, They learn lots of things from sports like discipline, team playing, team management, Sports activities make a kid be engaged and also tend to be a great encouragement, It helps us to maintain our health and to be fit physically always, also If a kid not doing well in their academics, they can easily shine in extracurricular activities like sports.
# Talent Show: Giving the students a platform to showcase their talent, talent hunt competition is organized by PPS every year. We seek to strike a balance between academic and co-curricular activities for the students. The purpose of this activity is to provide a platform for students to showcase their talents and skills. By doing this, students will feel appreciated and acknowledged, which will, in turn, entice them to keep up the good work in their studies as well.
We understand the importance of such activities and hence takes pride in organizing events such as singing, dancing, speech, Story Telling, and drama, etc. The school complements academics with extra-curricular activities to ensure children are well rounded. These form a part of the process of learning. Since every day is a unique day for young learners; the daily program in our school is carefully custom-made to balance periods of structured learning with creative activities. By providing opportunities for holistic development we encourage each student to reach their full potential. Moreover, we nurture students to blossom into responsible citizens so that they are able to make a significant impact on society. This we do in line with our vision and mission statement and our motto of Sculpting a Student to Perfection.
# Taekwondo: Taekwondo develops your child’s athletic abilities and self- awareness, and improves the child’s capabilities in self-defense. It also emphasizes moral development. Children learn to respect themselves and others, heightened concentration, and increased self-discipline and self-restraint. It strengthens the body and improves health through physical exercise and conditioning. The discipline of Taekwondo leads to increase energy, better health and fitness, greater coordination, and higher self-esteem. These qualities are vital to a happier, longer life. Most recently our students won Gold & Bronze medals at both District & Zonal level events.
# Handwriting Competition: Handwriting is an essential skill for students. When students do not adequately develop handwriting skills, the negative implications can be lifelong. Without consistent exposure to handwriting, research indicates that students can experience difficulty in certain processes required for success in reading and writing, including: retrieving letters from memory. The school conducts as well as encourage our students to participate in relevant competition so as to improve and enhance there skills.
